It doesn't truly do Elvis justice to post the flawed RIAA without qualifying what the numbers mean and how much of Elvis sales are excluded, however, will post the "US certified Album" artist chart tallies with the understanding that

1) this is for US album sales only and doesn't consider the millions of album sales outside the US.  Elvis unlike many on this list was a worldwide superstar with huge sales outside the US.
2) does not include the 50 singles and numerous Extended Plays that have been certified as gold, platinum and multi-platinum
3) the fact that many of Elvis sales have never been reported, especially in the 50's and just after his death
4) and mainly the 200 + albums that do not count at all in these tallies because that have not reached the 500,000 in sales to be "counted".

Even with these factors considered, Elvis "certified" US albums are incredible, blowing everyone away with 82 Gold Albums;  holding a good lead of 45 Platinum albums to the Beatles 39, and tied with the Beatles with 12 for most multi-platinum albums.
